It's been a long time, an finding where I had my LJ Account at,took a bit of time. With a new network, and new grounds accomplished. There's plenty to post or possibly share them.
My fulltime job, an out of my "Free lance" gig now. The co-worker enviroment has enlightened me to the world of wonderful ppl! Sarcastically speaking of course. I've learned it only takes ONE to make matters worse.
Proposals, an the hopeful fruition of plans, is now a strand of optimism and endurance. Hah,I see how many fallen to the abandonment of seeking change. Improvements are frightening things to alot of ppl.

I have seen the "Attention Seeker" complexities, well displayed everyday! It amazes and perplexes me,this aged ol' concept for the sought after acceptance. Lonely and miserable, ailing over the trodden path towards the hopeful goal for love and happiness.
Forsaken'd causes, the do gooder, crusader, the bleeding heart, the shit disturber, Ass Kisser, CYA soldiers,
Gomer Piles, Assholes, stealthy moles, spies, two facers...etc,on and on.
In my business, the concept to work together for a means, which serves the education system. I observe the infrastructure of conspiracy, back stabbing, white collar corruption, presumption, self indulgent altruism,..yet still, I find some solace or meaningful speck of purpose. Somewhere in the mess of networks and people, One must find and seek a hint of "Little rationals". I guess that means, you look for the positive in the 98% of bullshit you deal with. Two dollars saved is better than saving nothing. Somehow the expense of 98 dollars of your daily budget, can be an over sighted deficit.

Comics are still coming. I am still buying my monthly books.

F'n Myspace.com,...the chatroom just has ppl flirting, lezzbo's! and Idle nonsense.
An the denying routine that ppl from anywhere an everywhere can't resolve the reality that online is just that. I used to have success having ppl actually talk about their interests and network a community. Not anymore.
I joined a potential group at MSN, i t looked active and happenning. Past 5 days maybe few more, it appeared to have died. What goes on? DO I have a plague of black death follow me around?LOL!!! (Sometimes you can't help those thoughts)
Such as Life, Mountains an Valleys. Go up and come down. Thinsg thrive and things waver/drift in the windless sea.
Too much quiet can be unhealthy, what of the Seaman drifting, calm ocean, the morale begins to dwindle. No wind for the sails to catch. Vast blue skies. After a Lunar cycle, this happens. I think if you haven't harvested during the windy season, the calm leaves ya with nothing to do.B'cuz you're immobile.
An to get with the times, move forward, take advantage of technology..as in, th eboat no longer relies on Sails. You can motor on thru. Fuel!!! Bu tthen you got to gain some mechanical skills to fix the engine. Yeah.
Pick up your payload, drop off your payload...passengers get on and off. Somewhere an adventure is lying in the waiting. Do we really have adventure in our lives?
Funny POV, we watch movies about 2 hrs of drama, the characters go thru so much shit and stuff, we're entertained. Soon as we encounter alitle in our own lives, we run for the kleenex and pretend we're wearing sack cloth for the Woe's.
I just turned 40 last year..an it's sett'n In. I looked at my 30's as maintaining, miantaining what?, as I evaluated. Setting plans aside to give it's due attention when I finished working here and there. DId I ever get to it? No. Foolish me.
Presently, the clock is ticking. Not in the notion I haven't much time like some awareness of popular/celebs ppl have. No James Dean or Bruce Lee here.
there are some hints that, many things I spent time on..aren't really that important to pay or spend that much time on. Like a Sage approving my "subtle enlightenment" that I didn't really have to do all that..again.
Interesting that Movie quotes get thru my thick head than other sources..eg "Why do you work for aliving..when you kill yourself working".
The catch 22 of listening to a movie speak to you is..People write this stuff, real people, teh screen writers and use what they know to input it where it fits in the story. Not all of it, yet we use references like"Follow the yellow brick road" to mean we're on a journey. To undermine the purpose or to flavor life with metaphors.
Or, In my youth..A clenched Fist and A shot to your Head is all the reality you need.
BAM!!!! How what goes around comes around...Life knocks me on my ass and I wake up to my senses. "Million Dollar baby" is a good analogy of Life. Hard reality there.
You don't know what hits you, cuz your dizzy and coming to your senses...wait til you're functional again and talk about it later. "But..but, it's just a movie!"
MmmHmmm..yes it is.Our Beloved compartmentalisation.
I wonder if ppl remembered "War of the worlds"radio show by Orson Wells. Th epublic is so keen on never to be fooled again. "It's just a radio Show!!!!" Mass panic and ppl fearing for their lives. Now today's panic is when Monday is a holiday and better stock up on supplies and whatever you buy.
To my LJ friends who read this..I'm not talking to you spefically. I'm sharing my thoughts, you know the drill.
Reason for my LJ title? Anvil of Life..an you gotta get it Hot enough to melt the steel, the alloy. The undying Fire!
You know what.I don't use "Boredom" in my vocabulary.Nope! keywords profile how a person views and receives Life. Whenever I listen, read or hear "Keywords" , I review what that word means and listen to who I'm talking to. Easy reference, an not difficult to define, easy to learn. it;'s not judging ppl. merely a tool to filter whom you're dealing with and what chapter their in. I mentioned this twice, an the reply was .."So what keywords do I use???" ( Attentive look of challenging smug intrigue). You have them every day, every..second...of..your..waking..HOUR! Its in your HEAD, your thoughts. These are yours..an not mine. I have mine, an I am working on reprogramming or choosing how I want to think. Not easy, it's a work in progress. Capeesh????
An No, I don't have all the answers...

Didn't have much money this time around, and atleast he got 9/10 what he wanted.
Doesn't seem like christmas to me when I can't give as much..hmmm. Its harder to give omeone something when the something they want is more than you can afford. WHatever it is you DO get goes below Par. Its not that I don;t think they'll not appreciate it, more to myself that maybe I prefer to suprise and make christmas special that way. I hate using the word "Special".
Why? The serial number, Type and specs it requires. It's the Autoshop that seems to have the previleged info in their database.
Once, we needed a new ALternator, the Repairman I phoned, asked me if I knew the Specifications and make. I couldn't find anything in the manual or on the ALternator itself. SO, I gave him the Year, model and MAke of the vehicle. Again, the Vehicle had 3 different types of alternator, 3 sizes to choose from. This time, to find out which, I had to find out what Size motor it was. WHat I'm saying is, Each vital property such as a Car/vehicle should have a Data SHeet that indicates everything you need to know what you have.
Dark, brooding, self doubt, why, troubled, confused,...I read this comicbook. This is all I read about? Down and Out, personal crisis and on the edge. Misery.
I read Superheroes, or the larger than life characters that present and uphold the humanity and preservation of Life. What the Police used to do, what / how it used to be. Oh no, Lament?
DC's "Kingdom Come", there is a message or reflection of our society. Writers write what they know and feel.
I don;t know the anwsers on how to change the world, maybe I can save a few from it;'s cruel clutches.
When I read comics, the hero is often faced with vendetta, an isolated threat,or revenge. WHat about the people, the safety of society?
DAmage control, if the carnage and destruction made by the battles between our heroes vs. the villains were to be made public and accurate; WOuld that dispell our disbelief? If a small car wreck causes minor and critical injuries,an sometimes death. WHat about the mass destruction of superteam vs. a terror machine or minions of invaders?

The movies showed Superman & Spiderman, do alittle of public service, more so Superman in the first & second films. Spiderman did it in both too. His Subway train feat. Superman and the schoolbus, the train & railway, the Flooding dam, etc.
Is there a key to these movies success? That the heroes interacted by caring about people? About Us?
The connection could rest on US (The reader) caring about them, and vice versa. The good in the world, our belief transfers to the hero that we beleive He/She will prevail & triumph against evil & Evil doers. Or those who wish to alter our freedoms and liberties.
"Kingdom Come" asked that question, an is still awaiting an anwser.
How much do we apply the "Art imitates Life,Life imitates Art" in the comicbook world? Or is Truth stranger than fiction?

The Hero is bound and inching his way, lowered into a pit of acid. While the villain scoffs and laughs at his hero's impending demise. How does he get out of this one? The Hero is only as smart, on how Dumb the villain is.

It's a parody, I laugh at it everytime. The mother comes with 6 different pull string messages.

I picked up for the first time, "Comics Buyers Guide". Jessica Alba from SinCity is on the cover.
Hmmm, wonder what enticed me to buy it?lol!
I looked through it, alotta interesting articles to keep me busy for awhile. CFG, there's a Green LAntern feature in this one too. HAl Jordan stuff. Oh, did you look into the VS RP cards of the GL Corps?

I watched a rerun episode of MASH, when Charles helps out a stammering soldier who read comics.
The subplot involved charles encouraging the soldier not to be limited to reading comics. He felt as dumb as he beleived he was; He gave him the classic literature "Moby Dick" to expand his intelligence. Now as a comicbook fan and collector, I reacted alittle amiss and slightly delayed offense to the stigma. That Charles percieved reading comics was a limited genre for limited brains who are missing the delight of reading classic literature. I waited, as Charles admitted to reading the adventures of CAptain MArvel in his youth. He also discovered the classic works of other reading material. Then, by the end of the episode, he plays his spoken letter from his relative who spoke with a stammer. A good thing to pause and see something for what the message really is then jump to conclusions. Whew!

Once, I was on my way,on a trip, an I stopped for no reason. I parked, sat to ponder for a breif minute. What interrupted me, was how our media influenced culture, I imagined a camera shot, zooming in on me. A close up, then a wide pan of my surroundings. I felt adrift, then I shifted into drive and went on. Thinking, "here's where the bad guy or creeper suddenly attacks me". LOL!
Originally, I beleive I was trying to be at a place. Just be in the middle of no where. Not having to be coming or going.

I did try that "Sit by a calm secluded lake" bit, lo and behold, I had company within an hour.
Yeah, i felt invaded. Slightly irritated too. The effort to labor at travelling to a "Seclusion" and solitude takes alot of doing. Sometimes, even that suffocates the incentive.
When I lived in the city, an 15 minute drive wasn't even close to finding a spot. So I chose the time , after hours, after everyone is in bed. To sit in the backyard, porch. Listening to the night traffic, the constant faraway roar. It's suprisingly soothing to me.
The wilderness, the quiet, it brings a different element of experience. That is hard to come by nowadays. That incentive I spoke of, it almost becomes a month of planning or a deal of effort to make it happen. Before you're on your way, you almost have half of your house with you. This is what I mean, to go somewhere , an not have to bring everything, as if you're staying for a week.

15 minutes, how far can this take you? A quiet place on a beach, 3 hours. I'd still be able to see buildings and boats.
An still see ppl looking at me like I'm a possible killer.lol!

Organising my Comicbooks, an with little space to fit everything where they should be. I discover I am one box (300 sized) short to complete the task. Overspill books are mounting, too bad the 150's boxes are hard to find. Filling a 300 sometimes leaves a gap where the even the B&Brd' copies will slant and using a buffer is just irritating. (To keep 'em from slanting) I'd rather fit a 300 completely. I used the little ones for the extra's. Now they're all filled.
I compromised to use cardboard grocery boxes for the time being. It looks so, Non comicbox looking.LOL!

Here's a thought, Have you read every issue you got? I haven't, over or under half of my collection is unread.
At times, i think about getting archival HC of DC and MArvel books. TPB's & GN's for series or complete story Arc's. Crossover Hell or filing is tedious, maybe more resolving task to read an issue, discover you need to read a WW & GL to finish and read what happenned over there. That Next issue that appears to indicate a large Gap of story you missed. There I go,hunting down the issues I need to fill it. I seriously think comicbook companies.,if they do crossovers, should have a ledger/index key to know which and where to read next. None of this, continues in the JSA title, then you have to read the JSA title to find out where to go next. Have it all tidy to include all issues listed, so you don't get up from your comfortable reading den and disturb the quiet time. haha!

CFG & Ussentinel, I know you read DC essentially, In the recent "Avengers Disassembled" story. Bendis wreaked havoc by commiting alot of character damage and deaths. Good story going, on the other hand, it reminded me a kid who says, "Let's destroy our toys with real rocks for the effect!" Almsot, not quite. My point is, if the JLA went through a similar crisis of death and carnage to the members of JLA or JSA, would that leave a sense of vulnerability? WHere a writer or direction leaves the characters at the mercy of some writer's twitch of momentary lapse of creative genius.
I don't know, thinking about it, I may have a weak argument. If you recall the evening TV drama series "Dynasty" (Joan Collins..etc) Long ago, The Finale episode had them all gunned down by terrorists at this wedding reception. Kinda stretching there, weren't they? Adding that similarity to the DIsassembled Arc, that kinda illustrates what I'm trying to say.

Furthermore, Sci-Fi is centering around Known territory. TV & Movies are recycling themes now. There isn't a one show that has Man exploring and encountering the wonders of the Universe. It seems to revolve around a designated area of "use what's there" and stay there.
ALien Life isn't just Bugs bent on ravaging and eliminating the Human race like advanced space piloting Locusts. Nor is it about Supernatural borders extending to Man's obsession with Godo & Evil, including Heaven & Hell concepts.
Battlestar GAlactica, altho a revamped retelling of the original series, it's by far an excellent SCi-Fi TV show. Blessed!
Still, Earth:Final Conflict, StarHunter, Farscape, SG1, Babylon 5 ( I love this one actually), Lexx, Andromenda,FireFly,..all good and Very Good.
STNG, had alot of episodes exploring that area, many times it focused on known federation stories and ship drama, I didnt' mind. I was excited with each new show when it aired. I still watch re-runs to see which ones I missed, since I yet to watch every one. I have watched 80% of STNG to date.
ANyhow, with rumors of Heinlin novels and AC CLarke books to get to the screenplay stage, I'm hoping for "Rendezvous with Rama" and "Stranger in a STrange Land" to make it to celluloid.

Weeee!

Hold on, what i really mean is, my color mixing is loosening up. Color mixing basics is try to use 3 colors. Using yellow or white to tint and highlight with. Eg, One Dark blue, A brown and yellow. I'm Not!!! I;m using as many I want! LOL!!! Of course, this is for Publishing that requires a set of rules. WHy am I applying this for my own work?

Is there such a thing as, "Signs" that say "You're not going to get this started!" It's when he questioned why Marvel ddin't pay his royalty he was owed. He said " Hero's do the right thing, and always want to do the righ tthing." So I tipped the battle by focusing on him, while the other guy I was supposedly teaming up with, was busy somewhere else. You can attack other players, who do the 2 on 1, while I hit the 2 cuz they're busy shooting the 1. This is where I get accused of teaming, like I'm helping the 2 on 1 guy.LOL! So I replied back, tell'n him to shut-up. Go back to the Team rooms if he wants help. He calls me a name and all. I told him off back. MB'ing is slowing down for me too.
STill haven't recieved my comics.
I have hundreds of other titles I haven't read yet, and I ponder if reading them might push what I currently "know" to the back of my mind? Is it old age? lol
I used to read any comic, didn't matter if it was in continuity or not. Since collecting them again in recent years, the keeping up to continuity is probably distracting my reading pleasure. I noticed I don't buy books in the "parts" series, I feel the urge to get vol. 1 or pt. 1 if I find one out of sequence. Trilogies, etc...
Back to comics, is it because all my titles are in B&Brd's? The subtle tediousy of opening them, lift them out carefully, the collectable aspect of them and then reading them as regular type reading material.( I wish)
I do decide from time to time to let my comics be free!!! Maybe try and allow 25% of them remain in their B&Brd's. Something like the action figure to be left in its packaging. To open or not to open..looks so cool unopened, then again, look better standing with the others on the shelf. That is easily solved later, all my comicbook figures are outta their packages anyhow.
Well, not much to write today. Very much anecdotle it seems.

I'm figuring out what to do on "Live Journal's" options and site features. WHy is it that new website stuff just get us back to elementary angst? "What if I do this..what will that do? If I want that to do this, will it work? WHat is this and that?...Others have customs skins and backgrounds, if I want to design my own, where's the HTML center to do it in?" I'll get around to it, sometimes it' s like sitting in a brand new vehicle, everything is all there. Just have to get used to it all over again. It's like any franchise store chain, just when you've gotten used to know where everything is, one day they redone the floor plan and where is that section..oh, they arranged it over there now.

Other day: I was pulled over by the police. This hasn't happened for years. See, many years ago, I talked to alot of people. I sat and had coffee and drove with a few for company and friendship. This small community of 7000+ will do that. In my earlier days, some of them pushed drugs, bootlegged, small fractions and big operations. I got to know one guy who gradually worked his way into that drug scene as we grew up. A few others did the same, bag here, booze there, and I talked to them as people when I was around. At first, it was peer pressure..later on, I was respected for , it wasn't what I was into anymore. By 19, I was pretty much the sober clean guy they all knew.
Later years, as I still kept ties and friendships. My car, can be seen outside the guy's home. I'm inside playing a cardgame, watching a movie we rented or was invited to watch with. An drove an talked awhile about life. Yes, I knew he did this in the later years, this is when the Cops started to pull me over often. Bugging me for anything I was doing, checking my license, registeration, asking questions, allkinds of questions..."WHere do you go on weekends?" All this harrassment, in the late 80's and early 90's. What am I supposed to do? Ratt out all my friends? I told them time and time again, I don't want to know what you guys are doing. By the mid 90's, I pretty much moved on from that crowd and I know my domestic life helps that I'm being responsible. An the corruption here isn't all that fair and ideally based on equal rights either. Community names and pillars have the upper hand.

An now it's happenning again. Another friend I went to highschool with, is using my good nature to stop over at this house, I know he's picking up substance and says it's only "fresh fish" he checks up on. An he uses the weed for medicinal purposes, not a hard user. The Hippy user type, says it helps his asthma and allergies and boosts his song writing. Another friend of mine works for the gov't on federal agent things. Tells me to stop hanging around him, no more drives and talking, what if they stop and pull us both together, an the way the law works up here. i can be implicated on grounds of affilliation/ assoc. I'd still have to go to court and prove my innocence that I was unaware, it's still the hassle and public record of being associated anyway, if he's caught with illegal substance. Two men seen driving, the passenger carrying ounces, what does it look like? Yeah, sure,..if i was a Cop. I'd haul us both in for charges. Tell it to the judge, Cop has no clue if I did know or not..it's his job to apprehend offenders.
So I gotta play this safe, an if the Cops are On to him and seeing us both drive around. My best judgement says, I know what I have to do. it's today's street smart, even if it means to fore go the company. The other thing, I can set a talk time an tell him he must stop using or I can't associate with him and risk justice & Police intervention. I have thought of that, what will he do...if he needs it that badly, or decides to keep the thing out of my way, I still don't know he's carrying. We all know he does it still, I;ve visited his home and seen him look down and low key. I'll sit there for 15 minutes, his attitude is moody. He'll say he'll be a few minutes, go to the bathroom and out comes a happier new person. I like the guy, I've known him since high school.
The last we drove around and had coffee, we went to that house again. He said he wanted to check up on his weekly fish. So what do I do? I drive towards the Cop station and slow down, as if to stop there. This is where he got fidgety and nervous and said right away, "You can drop me off now, it's time, I gtg" I drove by slower as he stutterred out the last word. I should've said then.."Oh, you want off here to turn yourself in? stop the insanity?" LOL!
